Our Chanhassen Rec Center Programs are broken up into quarterly sessions, roughly 12 weeks long. Classes are offered on Monday and Thursday evenings as well as Saturday mornings. The times and days which students attend depends on their rank. Please see below to find out which level program applies to you.
Beginner Students | Ages 6-15
Jr. Orientation | Mondays & Thursdays
This 6-week* program is for students with no previous experience. Students will be introduced to the basic skills and concepts of Tae Kwon Do.
Jr. Orientation 2 | Mondays & Thursdays
Students build on the skills from orientation in this second 6-week* session.
*Note: Our summer session is shorter due to holiday breaks so we combine these two classes into one consecutive Orientation Program.
Jr. Beginner | Mondays, Thursdays – Optional Saturdays
This 12-week session is for Yellow – High Green belt and includes Saturday morning classes for those who would like extra practice at this level.
Intermediate/Advanced Students | Ages 6-15
Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
This 12-week session is for Blue – Black Belts. Students attend an additional Saturday class each week to practice more advanced techniques.
Red – Black belt students get an additional half-hour on weeknights work on advanced forms, self-defense, and board breaking.
Adult Students | Age 16+
Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
This 12-week session is for students of all experience levels. New students will be introduced to the basic skills of Tae Kwon Do through our orientation program. Advanced students (Red – Black Belts) will an extra half hour on weeknights to work on advanced techniques.
