What do you enjoy most about Tae Kwon Do?
I’ve always enjoyed the great workouts and exercise that TKD provides. Flexibility has always been a natural gift for me and TKD was an activity that fit that capability for me nicely. I’ve also gained so much from all of the great friendships I’ve made over the years with instructors, students and parents.
What do you enjoy most about teaching students?
I’ve had many satisfying experiences with students over the years. The ones that stand out for me are seeing the great satisfaction they have when a milestone has been achieved like board breaking, earning their black belts or accomplishing an advanced technique like jump kicks. ACTA MN has been blessed with very talented and dedicated students over the years so the accomplishments are wide spread.
What advice do you have for students who are just starting their martial arts journey?
Take advantage of the great instruction that ACTA MN has to offer and set both short and long term goals for your own development. Remind yourself of the TKD tenets of Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self Control and Indomitable Spirt throughout your training and you will gain a great appreciation for the Mind, Body, Spirit development that TKD has to offer.
